Flags of Subcontinent before 1947

As we know British came to power in 1858 overthrowing the 331 years old Mughal rule on India. So today we are looking at flags of Subcontinent(United India) before 1947.

The Home Rule League formed by Bal Gangadhar Tilak adopted a new flag in 1917.

Indian Flag 1921:

This flag was designed on demand for Mahatma Gandhi.

Indian Flag 1931:

This flag was not accepted by the Muslims but Muslims viewed the All India Muslim League Flag as their flag, because the flag of India was the same as of Congress. Actually the Muslims also didn't accept the flag of 1921 which was designed on demand for Mahatma Gandhi.
